Really happy with this cute 'lil #petalpouch I made for my sister to stash stitch-counters and whatnot... I'm also making her a matching Stowe Bag to house balls of yarn etc so her craft projects are portable. THEN I'm making myself a Pouch too to stash that Lippie 💄 and car parking change that always seems to go rogue in the bottom of my bag! Such fun sewing!! Also don't know if it will count - but it has a zip and its cotton, haha, as an entry to #cottonweek #gbsbsewalong hosted by Sheona at @satisfaction - Pouch pattern by @noodlehead531 and dotty canvas from @minervacrafts #sewingforfamily #sewingchallenge #craftproject #sewingproject #sewit #makeityourself #isew #makeitsewcial #sewist
I'm sewing up a little zipper pouch - at this stage of construction it looks like a butterfly or a 💟 loveheart; quite apt for today! I never thought when i started sewing I'd fall in love with crafting as much as dressmaking, but I think I have! Hope your day has been full of love, however it was spent 💌 ((Pattern is the #petalpouch by @noodlehead531)) #sewcrafty #sewinlove #ilovesewing #craftymom #craftproject #instasewing
My other #gemmatank - this was sewn as a hopefully wearable toile; I've worn it loads already with a cosy cardi chucked on over it. I can see myself revisiting this pattern again very soon as it's great for using leftover fabric scraps; showcased by the fact that scraps of the same fabric also line the pockets of the jeans I made months ago that I'm wearing too ➡️ swipe to see! Pattern from @madebyrae #cottonlawn #sewingbasics #ilovetosew #instasew #makersofinstagram #selfishsewing
I totally got 'My Geek On' sewing this #gemmatank top by @madebyrae, it's the most fit adjustments I think I've ever made to something so simple to sew! The pattern has cup options (always appreciated!) but i also had to deal with my personal fit issues arising from forward-facing shoulders, my swayback and getting rid of excess fabric pooling across my narrow upper chest. I talk more about those adjustments over on my blog OR if you just fancy nosing at the fab silk blend voile fabric I was gifted and general construction details, I also have a post live now on the @minervacrafts Blogger Network #minervamakes #minervacrafts #woventank #sewcialists #isew #handmadewardrobe #memadeeveryday #lovesewing
I've finished the neck and armholes and the curved hem of my #gemmatank with self-made bias fully turned to the inside (the French method?) as I figured pre-made bias would have been too stiff/heavy for this gossamer weight voile. Thankfully it takes a decent press so it wasn't too much of a faff to do!! #sundaysewing #isew #ilovesewing #sewingaddicted #memade #diysew #sewistofinstagram #sewityourself
I'm back-threading my dart tails ... mainly 'cos the fabric's semi-sheer and I don't want to risk the knot showing through at the tip ... but this seems a more secure way to finish too; do you do this? I'm going to make it a habit now I think! #sewingtip #ilovetosew #sewingskills #sewcialists
